On this day, and all days
Nov. 11th, 2009 07:25 amTo those who have served, those who are serving, and to those who will serve in the future, words cannot adequately convey my gratitude, especially to those who gave the ultimate sacrifice and to their families.
Today's date, November 11, was once known as Armistice Day, to commemorate the day the guns fell silent in Europe at the end of World War I, and thus it is still known in many nations. Today we in this country call it Veteran's Day to remember and celebrate those relative few among us who have donned the uniforms of the armed forces of the United States of America. All we have, indeed all we are as a nation, we owe to you.
Thank you.
