The ever-irascible Kim du Toit posts on the recent good news from Nebraska and shows that slow and steady can still win the race.

Many people talk about overturning legislation on an all-or-nothing basis, the debates on taxation and Social Security being but two most recent examples. In other words, get everything you want all in one go, or else it’s worthless.

It’s going to take many more years for us to undo all the vicissitudes of the Welfare State and other Lefty constructs. But as long as we stay the course, and remain firm in our principles, we will win, eventually.
