Last week I bought a new compact camera, a Panasonic DMC-TZ4. I got it mainly for its 10x zoom capability, it's wide end (equivalent to a 28mm lens on a 35mm camera), and image stabilization. Here's an image that shows some of this capability. Flash was not used. I edited the color balance and contrast in Picasa.
