Funny math
Back in January I was laid off from my job at EED along with a bunch of other folks. Fortunately I was able to obtain my current job in only a couple of weeks and started a six-month contract at Getty Images. I started February 2.
I've recently found out that my six-month contract will very likely terminate after only 4.5 months. Unless they extend it, which is possible though I'm not hopeful, I will once again be unemployed as of June 13.
My contracting agency has other opportunities but I'd really like to land a full-time position somewhere so I don't have to worry about when my contract will end, I'll have at least some PTO, etc. I guess it's time to update and polish the old resume.
